John Orefice

John Orefice
Founder and President

John’s visionary leadership approach is deeply rooted in the understanding that enterprise-wide clinical reporting and intentional data-driven solutions are critical for business performance optimization, and that a cohesive view of data across the health care management team is essential for both current and long-term stability, strength and success.

Prior to founding Polaris Strategic Solutions, John guided the Decision Support product line at Siemens Healthcare (now Cerner), launched and led a company called JJO Enterprises that developed specialized toolset for budget and cost accounting (later sold to Siemens Health), and leveraged his expertise in healthcare analytics to drive process improvement at the hospital and health care company Amherst Associates Inc.

John has a Master’s Degree in Health Systems Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, with a specialization in data visualization.

Daryl Felker
Vice President, Technology

Daryl is a highly experienced health care technology executive, and responsible for establishing, enforcing and elevating performance standards and benchmarks for Polaris’ technology and service offering. He is passionate about ensuring that our tools and processes have leading edge features and performance.

As an expert in enterprise reporting, decision support software and base modeling techniques, Daryl has designed and built aspects of the Polaris toolset, and performed extensive validation work to certify accuracy, robustness and usability. He is instrumental in clever new features and creative problem solving.

Prior to joining Polaris, Daryl worked closely with health care organizations to implement, install, utilize and optimize decision support software across the enterprise at both Siemens Healthcare (now Cerner) and JJO Enterprises.

Daryl has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a minor in Business Administration from Liberty University.


Marilyn Marchant

Marilyn Marchant
Vice President, Operations

Marilyn relies on extensive experience in healthcare-related project management, client relationship management, product management and business development to lead Polaris’ acclaimed Client Experience Program. Among other responsibilities, she is responsible for ensuring that client priorities are clearly identified and consistently achieved, that custom programming schedules are followed, and that specific healthcare reporting deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.

Marilyn honed her business skills and knowledge of healthcare system operations at Siemens Health Services (formerly Shared Medical Systems). While at Siemens, she served on the Executive Leadership Team and managed the development and operations of hospital financial, administrative and clinical IT products worldwide.

Marilyn is a long-standing member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and has been a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) for over a decade. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University, a Master of Science degree from Bowling Green State University, and a certificate in Executive Education from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.


Patrick Frye

Patrick Frye
Vice President, Customer Services

Patrick (Pat) is passionate about ensuring that our health care management services surpass customer expectations for quality, performance and responsiveness optimizing healthcare data analytics, business intelligence and decision support systems. He relies on in-depth experience and boundless energy to ensure that Polaris consistently maintains the highest levels of customer service as we continue to grow. His areas of expertise include software development — with a special emphasis on FDA and ISO process controls — and multiple work-in-process improvement methodologies, frameworks and systems, including LEAN, Six Sigma and CMM.

Prior to joining Polaris, Pat worked closely with healthcare provider executive teams to develop corporate strategy monitoring and control solutions. He was also responsible for financial, clinical and decision support solutions at Siemens Healthcare (now Cerner). Overall, his experience spans the breadth of healthcare enterprise reporting, and gives him a diverse knowledge base and multi-faceted perspective that few executives in the industry can match.

Pat has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems and a minor in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
